Raipara Union at a glance
Mr. Hafiz Uddin Ahmed (IGP East Pakistan), Chairman of PIDC OMBCD (Switzerland), a worthy son of late Abdul Quddus Miah of Raipara village in Dohar upazila of Dhaka district, passed away in 1975 under the name of Raipara Union Council. Later, after the independence of Bangladesh, a union council was formed with the election of a chairman and 12 members. Mr. Lutfar Rahman Kabiraj was the first Chairman. Union T has been conducting its activities with a reputation by bearing witness to the times. In the course of time, Raipara Union has its own uniqueness in various fields including education, culture, religious ceremonies and sports.
